2020 Trips to Rwanda and Registration Information

2020 Trips Now Open for Registration

Let's Be Honest...

Short term mission trips get a bad reputation and for good reason. It's detrimental to a community when foreigners build a home, paint a wall or provide other services that could be performed by someone already living there. As brothers and sisters to our Rwandans, we desire to build the economy in Rwanda-whether it's hiring a team to paint or using a local printer for t-shirts.

So what DO our volunteer teams do anyway?

  • We provide a service or skill that's not yet available to our students or staff.

  • We build relationships with our students.

  • We bring FUN. It may sound trivial, but life in a developing place is often mundane or only about survival.

  • We tell their stories. When people like you GO, you experience firsthand the people of Imana Kids. And that changes everything.

  • If this is a new concept for you, we encourage you to read When Helping Hurts or Toxic Charity
