Each of our in country volunteers will be required to participate in 6 weeks of online group discussions which include Rwandan culture, a brief overview of trust based relational interventions (the model of care we use with our students), planning out the schedule and activities for students while in country and general space for Q/A.
Teams will help staff collect grade cards and letters as well as distribute care packages from sponsor families.
All teams stay in Kigali, with the last night at Akagera National Park for a team de-briefing and opportunity for a real African safari.
Trip costs are all inclusive. Travel insurance is included.

Our friends at Astute Coffee know coffee and they know youth empowerment. And our Imana Kids know hope and hard work. Together, we're planning to provide some transformative workshops, tea and coffee exploration and relationship building this holiday season.
Every volunteer that works with our Imana Kids must provide a skill or service that we cannot hire our Rwandan brothers or sisters to do. This can look like mock job interviews, story telling workshops, playing UNO or sharing a meal together; because we believe that lives transform when kids are SEEN, HEARD and KNOWN.
This team is geared for young adults, college kids and coffee lovers. We'll be taking our older students outside the capital city of Kigali to explore the tea and coffee industries within Rwanda. We'll also work with local partners on life skills and job training. There will be time to chaperone our elemetary students for a field trip to a safari too!
**Each volunteer will be required to participate in trauma informed training online 4 weeks prior to travel.**
